Mac Marye - Associate Pastor

Mac and his amazing family have been apart of the River of Life since November 2009 when Mac came on staff as our Student Pastor. His family includes his beautiful wife, Jeni, and their four kids: Robbie (plus his wife Erica and two granddaughters: Mackenzie and Emerson), Sydney, Savannah, and Luke. Mac experienced his full-time call to ministry in 1999 after serving as an intern at a church in Danville, KY and going on his first foreign mission trip to Russia that summer. He has served as a full-time Student Pastor since 2004 and here at the River as Student Pastor and now Associate Pastor since 2009. He has a Master of Arts in Missiology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His passion is in leading followers of Jesus to pursue him in a more passionate and deep way. That spark occurs often on the mission field, which is one of the most enjoyable parts of his job. One of his favorite quotes is by a missionary from England named C.T. Studd. Mr. Studd said, "Some people want to live within the sound of the chapel bell. I want to run a rescue mission within a yard of hell." Mac’s goal as a Christian is to love God and love his neighbor. Mac and his wife's love for the church has changed so much since coming to the River. He regularly links arms with fellow followers of Jesus to serve him faithfully in our community and around the world and to tell others of the love that Jesus offers. Mac has been our Associate Pastor since 2016.

Donna Spalding - Children's Pastor

Donna grew up in Hardinsburg, Kentucky where she graduated from Breckinridge County High School.  She married her college sweetheart, Joey and they have 4 beautiful children, Andrea, Aaron, Chase, and Emma.  Donna has been our Children’s Minister at the River of Life since '06 and has loved every second of it.  

She is passionate about helping children truly understand who God is and she believes very much in the importance of teaching children to become active participants in the Kingdom of God.  She enjoys golf, UK basketball, and shopping, but mostly loves just spending time with her family

Justin Shelton - Youth Pastor

Justin is a Springfield native and grew up attending the River of Life. In 2015, Justin moved to Alabama where he attended the University of Mobile and attained his Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. Justin  is married to his amazing wife Bailey, whom he met while working FUGE camps. They now have a daughter Lora Grace. 

Justin was discipled during his time as a youth in traction which in part led to his love and passion for student ministry.  He loves pouring into students and seeing their hearts be transformed by Jesus. Justins relationship with the Lord grew exponentially during his time as a youth and he wants to help students KNOW God not just facts about Him. 

John Michael Huber - Worship Pastor

John Michael was born and raised in Lexington, KY. He has been a part of the River of Life family since 2015, and came on staff as the worship leader after marrying his wife, Andrea, in 2017. They have 3 beautiful children- Ellie, Lainey, and Liam. John Michael graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelors in agricultural economics and minor in business.

His passion for worship began in high school when he was a part of the youth praise team at church. Throughout the years his love for worship has grown and He loves connecting with and experiencing God through music. He loves leading worship because he loves being a part of creating an atmosphere where individuals can experience and encounter the Lord. John Michael also enjoys any type of games(video, cards, board), music, sports, friends, but mostly spending time with his family. 

Johnny Reinle 

Johnny has been with the River since it was being planned. One of the original team, he has enjoyed watching the River grow from it's begining to the present. A graduate of Nelson County High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Johnny is a retired education administrater. He enjoys the day to day business of the River when he is not playing Golf! 

Katie Cooper - International Missions Instructor

Katie started as an intern with The River of life in the summer of 2013. From there she continued to partner with us in Missions until she took on the full time  as our our International Missions Instructor since 2018. Originally from Outback Australia Katie grew up with parents on the Mission field, which cultivated her love and passion for ministry and missions. Katie heads up our Missions Ministry spanning from local outreach to oversees missions.
